Search Benton County Court Dockets

Full case number or full legal name, newest events, then the records office: that order works in Bentonville. Circuit Court keeps the general-jurisdiction case history for Benton County, Arkansas, probate follows its own clerk route, and the local District Courts keep their limited-jurisdiction matters. Public case information shows filings, hearings, orders, and results. It does not replace the official record. When an image, a court date, or a certified copy is needed, the clerk of the court that holds the case supplies it, and a Benton County court docket search points to which clerk that is.

Search ARCourts gives you more than one way in. Participants mode offers First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, and Organization or Case Description fields. Cases mode takes a number. Type the case or citation identifier there. The advanced control opens court, location, case type, docket code, status, birth date, and docket date filters where offered. Stack too many filters, though, and the right result can vanish, so add them one at a time.

Treat Search ARCourts as the public index only. Certified copies come from the clerk of the Benton County court where the case began, so order legal proof from that office.

What a Court Docket Shows

A Benton County court docket is the case's running log. It names the court and case type. Parties, filings, and settings appear as matters move, along with rulings and the final disposition. Criminal dockets add charges and offense citations. They also list plea events, bond activity, and sentencing. Civil dockets add service, motions, judgment, and post-judgment events. A listed event, though, does not guarantee its document image is public.

Case HeaderCase number, court, description or style, type, filing date, status, and sometimes assignment.
ParticipantsRole-labeled parties and attorneys or organizations where public.
Case EventsDated filings, service, settings, notices, orders, and disposition entries.
HearingsEvent type, date, time, division, and status when supplied. Courtroom details may need confirmation.
DocumentsA public image link only when the court releases that image at a public security level.
DispositionThe case or charge result and date. A closed status alone does not explain the result.

Search ARCourts labels its chronology case information and case events. The print notice is blunt. It says the output is not an official court record. Need legal proof? Request the judgment, the order, or a certified docket from the clerk of the court.

Benton County Court Docket Keepers

No one clerk keeps every Benton County court docket. The Benton County Circuit Clerk holds Circuit Court criminal, civil, domestic-relations, and juvenile records. The Benton County Clerk runs the Probate Division along with county-court documents. Each District Court clerk maintains that court's records. Those include traffic, ordinance, misdemeanor, civil, and small-claims files.

Use the Benton County court line first. A felony points to the Circuit Clerk, probate points to County Clerk Probate, and a municipal citation points to the District Court printed on it.

That split matters when the portal comes back blank. A missing result does not prove no Benton County record exists. The case might sit in another court level. It could also rest in an older archive, a local system, or a restricted file. Try alternate spellings. Drop narrow filters, and confirm you are searching the right level. Then call the clerk named for that court.

Which Courts Keep Dockets

Arkansas Circuit Court is the general-jurisdiction trial court. Benton County sits in the Nineteenth West Judicial Circuit. It has seven local judicial divisions. District Courts handle limited matters. An appeal from District Court can open a new Circuit Court trail tied to the lower case, and state appeals go to the Arkansas Court of Appeals or Supreme Court under allocation rules.

Put that hierarchy to work when placing Benton County Circuit Court in the state system. For practical contacts, the local division and clerk pages carry the details.

Benton County Court Docket Addresses

Benton County's seven Circuit divisions share four Bentonville addresses. Divisions 1, 4, 5, and 7 list 102 NE A Street. Division 2 uses 201 NE Second Street. Division 3 sits at 1301 Melissa Drive, Suite 5, and Division 6 at 215 E. Central Avenue. The division number is just an assignment, not a separate level or a permanent case type.

Know the building before a hearing. The Circuit Clerk counter at 102 NE A Street handles records, yet it may not host your appearance. Juvenile and Child Support filing counters sit at 1301 Melissa Drive, Suite 7. Specialty Courts use 1204 SW 14th Street, Suite 7. Probate works out of Courthouse Room 206.

Call the assigned division before traveling whenever the docket and your notice disagree. Expect security screening at the courthouse. A lobby or courtroom list helps on hearing day, but it cannot replace confirming the current setting.

Finding Court Dates and Settings

Benton County offers no single master calendar covering every Circuit and District Court. Start with your documents. The citation, summons, hearing notice, or scheduling order comes first. Then open the case in Search ARCourts and find the newest future setting. An old date can linger in the history after a reset. So weigh it against later notices and orders.

Got a Circuit case? Call the assigned division to confirm the live calendar. For a local ticket or misdemeanor, call the named District Court. Benton County's Specialty Courts calendar covers its programs only. It is not the general criminal calendar, so a blank specialty listing does not mean the underlying case lacks a review hearing.

If a reset appears, keep both events. The older date stays part of the Benton County case history. But the later order or notice controls the new setting. Weather and emergency changes surface in official Benton County, city, and Arkansas Judiciary notices. Confirm by phone before you go.

Benton County Court Docket Technology

Arkansas keeps filing and public viewing apart. Lawyers and other authorized filers work through eFlex. Everyone else reads released case information in Search ARCourts. The state's case-management environment sits on Contexte and ARCourts. Because access rules and security settings still apply, a filing can live in the Benton County court system with no public document image behind it.

Search ARCourts arrived as a soft launch in January 2024, replacing the old Public CourtConnect, which stayed online during migration. By 2026, the AOC Build Initiative reported beta testing for traffic and criminal District Court functions, with demonstrations in Rogers. Treat that as a statewide milestone. It does not mean every Benton County department already runs the beta. For the court level itself, the Arkansas District Courts resource documents the limited-jurisdiction tier.

Public Access to Dockets

Access to court records runs on Arkansas Supreme Court Administrative Order No. 19. That order defines court records, public access, exclusions, and the request procedure. The Arkansas Freedom of Information Act may cover other public records. But judicial records stay under court authority. One practical wrinkle exists. Remote electronic access can be narrower than what you can view through the Benton County clerk.

Key Arkansas access rules:

Administrative Order No. 19 governs access to court records and permits lawful restrictions.

Ark. Code Ann. § 25-19-105 states the general public-record access rule subject to exemptions.

Ark. Code Ann. § 9-27-309 protects juvenile records in the circumstances set by law.

Ark. Code Ann. §§ 16-90-1401 et seq. governs sealing of qualifying criminal records.

Protected identifiers should be redacted. Sealed cases, confidential juvenile records, protected family material, and restricted images may never surface in a public search. A partial entry is not permission to rebuild protected facts. Ask the clerk whether a record is older, offline, or legally restricted.

Benton County Court Docket Images

Search ARCourts can show a document link. That happens only after the Benton County court releases the image at a public security level. In the Documents column, WEB can mark a clickable image. None can mean no public link exists. The underlying Benton County entry may still identify a real filed motion, order, judgment, or notice.

No image? Copy the full case number, event description, and event date. Then call the custodian and ask for that exact item. Benton County reports free public civil and criminal indexes and images. Coverage runs from January 1, 2014 forward. Older material may require Archives. Pop-up blockers in your browser can also hide a released document.

For context beyond the county, the Arkansas Supreme Court page shows the state's highest court.

The Clerk and Docket Records

The Benton County Circuit Clerk is the official custodian of the Circuit Court record. The office splits its phones. Civil and domestic calls go to 479-271-1015. Criminal calls go to 479-271-1016. Archives uses 479-271-1710. The main counter serves walk-ins from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and stays open through lunch. Archives and Juvenile close from noon to 1:00 p.m.

Put the case number, court or division, case style if known, exact document and date, plain or certified copy, delivery method, and return contact in any written request. The revised schedule prices plain court-document copies at $0.25 per page. Certification adds $5 plus copy pages. Confirm the current total and payment method before you send funds.

Benton County Probate Docket Exception

Probate sounds like a Circuit Court subject, and it is. But Benton County hands authority over the Probate Division to the elected County Clerk. That local exception makes a generic "call the Circuit Clerk" instruction incomplete. Probate records and questions go to the County Clerk's probate counter. It sits in Room 206 at 102 NE A Street, 479-271-5727. The counter keeps hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. It closes from noon to 1:00 p.m.

Search ARCourts can still work as a public index path. For copies and local questions, though, the County Clerk Probate office is the custodian route. Protected probate material, sealed exhibits, and minor-sensitive records may not be available remotely.

With any Benton County docket, remember that subject matter and record custody are related. They are not identical. Read the court and case type first. That habit alone prevents the wrong-counter trip.

Benton County Specialty Court Dockets

Benton County runs Adult Drug Court, Veterans Treatment Court, and Mental Health Court. These programs generally ride on an underlying criminal case. There is no standalone public file holding every program detail. The regular docket can show reviews, orders, or settings. Treatment records and sensitive assessments stay protected.

The public Specialty Courts calendar offers several views and filters. Yet it may display no events. A blank view does not prove the programs stopped. Use the underlying case docket and the Specialty Courts contact at 479-696-9970. A program page explains eligibility and services, but the court record is what shows formal case action. One screen never answers every Benton County docket question. Public calendars, case indexes, filed documents, and certified records each serve a different purpose.

Court Dockets by City in Benton County

Rogers, Bentonville, Bella Vista, Centerton, and Siloam Springs rank as Benton County's five largest incorporated cities in the 2020 Census. Local traffic tickets, ordinance matters, misdemeanors, civil claims, and small claims start in the District Court department with jurisdiction. A felony or major civil matter still proceeds through Benton County Circuit Court, even when the event happened inside one of these cities.

A ticket or pleading tells you which court to contact. That name on the paper controls, not where you live in Benton County. A payment portal only settles the fine, so it will not show the full case-event history.

Map and Directions to the Benton County Courthouse

The Benton County Courthouse, 102 NE A Street in Bentonville, houses Circuit Divisions 1, 4, 5, and 7 along with the County Clerk's Probate counter in Room 206. Circuit Court's other divisions and the Juvenile/Child Support counter sit at separate buildings elsewhere in Bentonville, so a Circuit civil or criminal record request still starts at this courthouse address. The Circuit Clerk's civil/domestic and criminal lines are answered separately at the same counter.
